Stepping Out for Breast Cancer is dedicated to improving the quality of life for breast cancer survivors through the provision of equipment or services that aid in the mental and physical recovery from cancer.
Stepping Out for Breast Cancer is a not-for-profit, all volunteer organization founded in 1993 by a group of Annapolis women to raise funds to support breast cancer survivors in the community served by the Anne Arundel Medical and Baltimore Washington Medical Centers. Stepping Out for Breast Cancer works to improve the lives of those diagnosed with breast cancer regardless of age, social, or economic status.
Stepping Out for Breast Cancer is a registered, 501(C)3, not-for-profit organization. All donations made to Stepping Out for Breast Cancer qualify for deductions under federal and state tax laws. One hundred percent of all donations fund services; there are no administrative or overhead expenses.
Stepping Out for Breast Cancer has contributed to the Rebecca Fortney Breast Center at AAMC for the past 25 years. Funds raised through our events have supported:
